V popisku k pantáklu se píše:
The sixth pentacle of Mars.– It hath so great virtue that being armed therewith, if thou art attacked by any one, thou shalt neither be injured nor wounded when thou fightest with him, and his own weapons shall turn against him.¨
Překlad: Šestý Pántákl Marsu – Má tak skvělou působivost, že pokud jste jím obrněni, pak jste-li kýmkoli napadeni, nebudete zraněni ani zblízka ani z dálky, když s ním budete bojovat, a jeho vlastní zbraně se obrátí proti němu.
Jde tedy o obranný pantákl.
